Manually Configuring PureVPN on KDE Plasma (PPTP)

Things to Consider:

Before you begin, please make sure that:

  • You have a working internet connection
  • KDE Plasma
  • A Premium PureVPN account (if you haven’t bought it yet, click here to buy)

1 From the toolbar, select ‘Network-Manager’ and then click on ‘Connector Editor’.

2 Select ‘Add’

3 Choose ‘PPTP’

4 Select the’ Gateway’ field and enter the server that you wish to connect to (click here for servers). Then enter your login credentials, after which you need to click the ‘Advanced’ button.

5 In the ‘Advanced’ setting, check the following fields:

– Use MPPE Encryption

– Send PPP Echo Packets

– Allow BSD Compression

– Allow TCP Header Compression

– Allow Deflate Compression

– MSCHAP

– MSCHAP v2

6 Click on ‘OK’ to save your new PPTP configuration.

7 Access the ‘Connection Editor’ and select the new PPTP configuration you just created. Click on ‘Connect’ to start browsing online with ease.
