OpenVPN is an open-source security protocol that creates secure point-to-point connections in routed and remote access facilities. Here’s how you can setup OpenVPN on your iPad and iPhone:

Things to Consider:

Before you begin, please make sure that:

You have a working internet connection
An iOS device (Smartphone, Tablet etc.)
A Premium PureVPN account (if you haven’t bought yet click here to buy)

To configure OpenVPN on iOS device you need to install OpenVPN Connect App and download the OpenVPN files from here

1 Open App Store and search for OpenVPN Connect App or Click here from your iOS device to download / install it

2 Perform the following:

Connect your iOS device to PC / Mac and launch iTunes
From iTunes Apps section select OpenVPN App
Select downloaded OpenVPN Files including Ca.crt, WDC.key, Client.crt and Client.key from your PC / Mac, drag and drop them to OpenVPN Documents

(Try TCP and UDP both and use the one which works fine on your internet connection)

3 Now tap on OpenVPN app from your iPad / iPhone

4 Tap on “+” icon to add profiles one by one.

5 Insert Username and Password provided by PureVPN, tap on Save button and turn on VPN

6 Once VPN will connect, VPN Icon will appear on status bar

When selecting certificate, I get “No certificates are present in the keychain”. All files copied to iOS device as per instructions including .crt & .key files (before you ask)

Hi! I’m trying to intall the VPN but after the copy of the files on my ipad by iTunes, on the app appears the messagge “error loading profile: etc. etc. It’s impossible to run it
