L2TP is a tunneling protocol that is widely used to support Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). When coupled with a VPN, L2TP strengthens your private network, making you invincible on the web. Here’s how to setup PureVPN manually on iPhone with L2TP protocol:

Things to Consider:

Before you begin, please make sure that:

  • You have a working internet connection.
  • An Android Phone/Tablet.
  • Own a premium PureVPN account (If you do not already own one, you can buy a subscription from here.

1 Go to your home screen and tap settings

2 Tap General

3  Tap VPN


4  Tap Add VPN Configuration

Tap Add VPN Configuration

5  Tap on TYPE and select L2TP.

6 Insert the following info:

  • Insert in description PureVPN L2TP
  • Insert the desired server which you want to connect, click here to get the server list.
  • Insert your username & password as provided by PureVPN. (For further instructions on how to check your active PureVPN username and password click here.)
  • RSA SecurID: Off
  • Insert 12345678 in Secret box
  • Send All traffic: Enabled
  • Tap on Done

7  Tap L2TP to Turn on the VPN.

8 Your VPN is now connected.
