I am new to this. What server do I choose and why. If I am just using the internet for hotmail, studying and downloading torrents does it matter what mode or server I choose. Sorry, I am a little confused.

    • PureVPN Team says:

      Hi,

Welcome to PureVPN. We have created different Modes to make things easier for our users, if you select Mode according to your choose so it will connect you with best servers, which would give you best speed and experience. However, if you do not want to select any particular Mode then its alright, its not compulsory to select special Mode.

Hope this answers you query, drop us a line, if you still have any questions!

      • blw78 says:

Thank you for your quick reply. So I am secure regardless of if I choose a mode or not?
When choosing server locations, do I just choose one closest to me? or if I wanted to view something on a US or UK site, then do I choose one it that country?
        Thanks again 🙂

        • PureVPN Team says:

Its a good question. You are secure no matter what mode you select. And you can choose any server near to you.

Feel free to contact us if you have further questions!

Hi, since I started using PureVPN I am not able to connect to my wifi network from time to time after I stop PureVPN. My laptop cannot find my wifi network and if it does I cannot connect. Normally it resolves itself after a few hours but now I it is already going on for 2 days. Can you please tell me how to resolve this??

    • eNaRDe says:

Same issue. I contacted tech support and they blamed it on my router and said that no one else has had this issue. I work in IT and I considered myself pretty tech savy. I tried a bunch of stuff and nothing works. This ONLY happens when using VPNPure Software. Any other VPN software I use does not have this problem but somehow according to them it’s my router’s fault. If I find anything I will let you know.

  25. PureVPN Team says:

  27. Morgan says:

Hi, i just downloaded your Purevpn, but when i tried to change to other countries IP, it will brings in other country’s IP….. What is the cause, and the solution… Thanks

    • PureVPN Team says:

      Hi,
      Thanks for contacting PureVPN,

I apologize that you had to deal with such issue.

This is to tell you that it’s obvious that when you will connect to a different country, it will give you a different country’s IP. Its because, VPN masks your ISP IP and gives you the IP of the country from which you are connected.

However if you still face any issue, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime.

Looking forward to hear from you,
      Thanks.
      Regards:
      Nelson.

    Hi Angelo,

Yes, you can…all you need is a “Dedicated IP” and then you will be able to access your computer from anywhere.

Let me know if I can help you with anything else!

  29. Angelo Gallo says:

since I installed the purevpn client, I do not have access to my own VPN access. IE, I had an incoming connection on my computer so I could access it from anywhere. by installing the client, I cannot access my computer (the one with the vpn client) anymore. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi how do I use this to program router so I can use external box with Netflix etc cheers

  36. Bigo2 says:

Hi I’m in Australia. Recently I joined PureVPN, downloaded and installed the windows beta software…
    I’m using windows 7 ultimate, my modem/router is Netcomm N300 NF7.
I’m trying to connect to au3.purevpn.net (I also tried other AU purVPN servers) but it doesn’t work.
    When
I go to network connections, PureVPN is showing Disconnected. When I
try to connect, after some time a window “Error connecting to PureVPN”
appears and there is a line: “Connecting to au3.purevpn.net using ‘WAN
    Mimiport (PPTP)’…
Next line is Error 807: The network connection between your computer and the VPN server was interrupted etc., etc.
I was trying to investigate what’s wrong but couldn’t find any sollution.
    Please help.
    Thanks Bigo2

    • PureVPN Team says:

      Hi,

I am sorry for the inconvenience, I have two suggestions for you.

1- Try to connect with different severs and see if it works, you can see our updated server list on this page https://support.purevpn.com/vpn-servers

2- Make sure PPTP works on your internet connection.
In order to check if PPTP works on your internet connection , you should open your command prompt by going to Start >Run and type CMD, press enter and type the following command:

      telnet uk2.purevpn.net 1723

Press enter & check the result. If it gives a blank screen on Windows, it means PPTP is working on your ISP.

IF PPTP works then email us the screenshot of your router’s settings page at [email protected], so we may assist you in better way.

Thanks and have a great day!

      • Bigo2 says:

Hi – thanks for your answer. I tried other servers as you suggested – still the same…
I opened the command prompt and entered exactly the telnet line. I tried several times – the result is: ‘telnet’ is not recognised as an internal or external command…
I have tried this alreday before when I was trying to find the problem…
So I checked internet about the telnet command, unabled it and tested again – It gave me blank screen. So the PPTP is working.
So now I’m going to eamil you my modem/router setting page. Thanks.

        • PureVPN Team says:

          Hi,

I am sorry that it is taking longer to solve this problem. You send us screenshots and we will make sure that we send you correct settings back. Hopefully that will resolve your issue.

          Thanks for being patient!
