How to Setup PureVPN on dovado Router

Things to Consider:

Before you begin, please make sure that:

  • You have a working internet connection
  • VPN Supported Router.
  • Own a premium PureVPN account (If you do not already own one, you can buy a subscription from here)

Instructions on Setting Up your PureVPN Account

  • Select ‘Enable PPTP’
  • Select ‘ Connect Automatically’
  • Input profile name
  • Input server address, click here to view the complete server list
  • Input PureVPN account credentials; username and password
  • Set Echo Timeout to 60
  • Set Echo Count to 3
  • Select ‘MMPE’ encryption
  • Select ‘Active Profile’ and then save
  • Complete process, by selecting ‘Block traffic from internal network and router to the internet’.

Now you can connect PureVPN!

    Couple of notes:

    – You only need for working vpn connection: “Enable PPTP” & profile information
    – Active profile (if you have saved multiple purevpn connections – then one of them need to be active)

    All the rest:

    – Connect automaticly is free of choice – but if you want that vpn tunnel is on after router reboot you have to tick that
    – Echo timeout – free of choice
    – Echo count – free of choice
    – “Block traffic….” is choice of your own… Depends what you want to do if VPN goes down

    Btw. Echo timeout & count were default numbers…

    Just wanted to clarify those.
