Things to consider:

It is important to consider the following before you start:

  • A working internet connection.
  • Any iOS-powered device (Tablet, Smartphone, etc.)
  • A Premium PureVPN account (if you haven’t bought yet click here to buy)

There are two ways you can go about setting PureVPN on your iOS device. Either set it up via PureVPN iOS app (Recommended) or you can also use manual settings.

    Is VPN only available over wifi and not cellular? (IOS)

    Kindly to disable the firewall of your router if any, and enable the PPTP/L2TP pass-through option from your router, hope this works.

      There is no firewall on the router, and PPTP^L2TP is enabled. This is not the issue. As I said before, there is no issue with my other devices, iPhones or iPads. It seems as though you are just giving me scripted answers.

    I had a problem with the VPN on an iPhone 4S, so I deleted it and re-added it. I have tried PPTP and L2TP. Neither will connect. The setup is very easy and works on my other devices in the home. I am doing a manual setup. I am doing it manually to avoid downloading an app and using up even more space. Any thoughts?

    – Manually enter Username and Password, not copy/paste
    – If this does not work then completely remove app and install fresh one

      Yes I mean using the app. After the setting when asking my login and password for the VPN profile selected; I’ve got a pop up saying that my login and password are incorrect. They are correct and I did try several times.

    Is there a fix in the pipeline for the disconnection issues facing the iOS App users? Please note the word ‘fix’. I don’t much care for the proposed workarounds which involve installing device profiles & using less secure protocols.
