Before you begin, please make sure that:
Follow these simple steps to configure PureVPN on Windows Vista:
Installing PureOVPN:
1 Download PureVPN OpenVPN installer.
2 Right click on OpenVPN installer and select properties.
3 From General Tab, click on “Unblock“, “Apply” and “OK“
4 Right click on OpenVPN installer and select “Open” or Double click to execute
5 Click “Continue” to allow installation
6 Click “Next“
7 Click “I agree“
8 Click “Next“
9 Click “Install” to begin installation
10 Click “Next” once installation completes
11 Uncheck “Show Readme” and click on Finish
Connecting PureOVPN:
12 Right click on OpenVPN GUI icon and “Run as administrator“
13 Click “Continue” to allow application to run
14 Right click on OpenVPN icon from System tray, go to desired server and select “Connect“
15 Insert Username and Password provided by PureVPN
16 VPN will establish connection in few seconds
17 You are connected now. Enjoy the Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!
18 To disconnect OpenVPN. Right click on OpenVPN Icon from System tray, go to connected server and select “Disconnect“
Saving account details:
19 Right click on OpenVPN Icon from system tray, go to desired server and select Edit Config
20 Add pass.conf after auth-user-pass parameter and save
21 Open notepad and insert Username in first line and password in second line then save it as pass.conf
22 Open folder where you save the file, click on Tools menu and select Folder options
23 Click on View tab and uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types“, click “Apply” and “OK“
24 Right click on pass.conf.txt file and rename it
25 From pass.conf.txt, remove .txt, hit enter and click on “Yes” to continue
26 Open OpenVPN installation folder (C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config) and drag / copy pass.conf file in config folder
27 Click “Continue” to copy file
28 Click “Continue” to allow
*Repeat Step 19 and 20 to edit all servers
Step19: Right click on OpenVPN Icon from system tray, go to desired server and select Edit Config
Step20: Add pass.conf after auth-user-pass parameter and save
