I tried that link and the app still freezes. I set it up manually through system preferences. But would rather have been able to choose better server for downloading/streaming on the fly. Not be locked to one server.

  • Peter van der Meer

I just downloaded the latest version (1.99.8) and it is like taking 2 steps back. I am wondering if this is indeed the latest version.
Every time I connect I have to type in the password!
    The taskbar Icon has gone!
It seems I cannot add favorites anymore!
    What is going on?

*EDIT – Already found the issue. The top left (first) download button is for an older version of OSX. I guess I expected the download buttons to be ordered instead of random.

  • John Raymond Peterson

I just reinstalled PureVPN from dmg file I was provided and I notice I’m no loger requested the PureVPN password I was given when I purchased it. Is that normal? I only get a request for admin password to install the helper tool I think.

    • PureVPN Team

      Hi John,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Yes, it is possible.

Let us know if you have further questions!

  • Andrew

You can do this manually by adding and removing routes from the command line. You can also automate this, if using PPP for your VPN, by creating a script /etc/ppp/ip-up and doing the route changes from in there.

  • PureVPN Team

    Hi,

I am sorry for the inconvenience. We are working on helper tool and it would be resolved in next release.

PureVPN client (5.1.1) still asks every time to enter Macbook Admin password to install “Helper Applicaiton” when it starts. Why does it have to ask it every single time? Other Mac apps just asks very first time and they never bother me enter the password to install their helper application during subsequent startup of the app. It is annoying.

    • PureVPN Team

I am sorry for the inconvenience. Do not worry we are working on it soon we will fix it and then you will not have to install “Helper Application” we really apologies for this.
