Hello, it is possible to connect to your services through a cisco rv180 router?

  17. curtis says:

I tried for 3 days to get my internet to work and none of the settings I was given would make the internet connect. Finally got one tech person to send me a different address that gave me a list of IPv4 addresses that worked for my router. I have a LINKSYS ea4500 and just had to choose obtain IPv4 address automatically and then I put in a server address from us-router.pointtoserver.com. I didn’t have to disable any of the firewalls or put any dns numbers in. So hopefully anyone that is having problems with getting their router to connect to the internet can use an IP address from the server address above to fix the no internet connection.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We recommend to upgrade your firmware o DDWRT.

Feel free to contact us if you have further question/suggestion!

    • Vaughn Rixon says:

It would be nice if there was a Linksys provided version of the DD-WRT firmware if they think it is better than the firmware that comes standard. I have the latest firmware and find it a bit strange that you are pushing us to Open Source firmware on a high end router!

  40. timbck2 says:

Add me to the list of people who is unable to get PureVPN running on a Linksys WRT1900AC. You suggested to another user that he update his router firmware, but there is no newer router firmware to update to; I am running the most recent version available from Linksys.

  45. Vaughn Rixon says:

Having much trouble (no success) getting PureVPN running on my Linksys WRT1900AC — the new screens are slightly different from those shown, and no matter what I have done I cannot get the router to connect to the Internet through the VPN. No trouble running from software on PC, Mac and iPad; but that is not what I want to do – I want the VPN at the router so that Apple TV will function as though I am at home in Australia!

  46. PureVPN Team says:

    Hi Mustufa,

Can you kindly make sure that your router supports VPN? In order to check your router compatibility you can do following things. Make Sure:

You are not using your router as a modem i.e. it is not connected directly to your internet provider.

Your computer has a connection with the router on which you want to configure PureVPN.

PPTP protocol is allowed by your ISP. To check whether PPTP protocol is allowed by your ISP or not, connect PureVPN just once with your computer/smart mobile using PPTP protocol.

If you are sure that your router is compatible then I request you to send us screen shot of your router’s WAN settings page to: [email protected] so our team can assist you in better way.

I apologies for the inconvenience, we will try our best to solve your issue as soon as possible.

  47. PureVPN Team says:

    Hi,

I am glad it worked. Let me know if I can help you with any thing else.

    Have a great day!

I have Linksys WRT400N. I have the same problem not able to set it up to use PureVPN. I tried hk ips: 45.115.27.4, 103.55.8.4, 192.253.240.63, 192.253.240.131, 192.253.240.196. If these IPs are not correct, please provide one valid IP I can test with. Thanks

  53. Reiner says:

Followed the instructions closely step by step and even chatted online for help but it seems to me that there’s incompatibility with Linksys EA8500 router. Was even given a different address not listed on the guide to get my “server ip address” but I can’t seem to get connection to the internet. I’m starting to believe that Linksys EA8500 is not going to work when I did an inquiry purchasing but decided to go with PUREVPN. Not happy with this one….
