OS Specific Configurations

PureDome’s Application Settings Control lets console administrators easily customize general and OS-specific settings for one or multiple teams through flexible profile configurations.

This article explains how certain configurations are adapted for specific Operating Systems or devices.

Create application settings control profiles

  1. In order to add a user configuration profile, click the Devices tab in the PureDome console on the left side.
  2. Click Application Settings Control
  3. Click Add Profile.
  4. Enter a profile name, description, and select the team(s) that should comply with the profile.

OS specific configurations 

Windows

Default Protocol  
Different VPN protocols perform differently in certain network situations. Given the local network configuration, the internet service provider (ISP), and the type of internet connection, you may want to set a default protocol for your team to connect to.

Auto connect after launch
Once your operating system is powered on, you'll be connected to the last network you've used.

Kill switch 
Immediately disconnects the Internet connection if the VPN connection is lost, protecting data from brief exposure to unprotected networks. 

Please be aware that this could impact the user's overall experience.

 
 
 

macOS
