Connection Issues With Virgin Media

If you are Virgin Media subscriber and having issue in connecting VPN then please access your “Virgin Media account”, go to “Websafe option” and “Turn Off Virus safe option” then connect VPN. If you are not a PureVPN user yet, take the $0.99 7-day trial today.



Also make sure to enable PPTP, L2TP and IPSec pass through options from your router.

Please access “Virgin Media Router control panel” then click on “Advance settings”. Under advance setting there is an option for “Firewall” click on that and select “IPSec, L2TP and PPTP pass through” and “save”.

    I had stated that the instructions above had not solved the problem. Tried a bunch of things — re-doing the instructions, computer reboot, etc — and still no joy. Finally I reset the modem after having made the recommended changes and voila! VPN works again. 🙂

    Sorry, these instructions did not solve the problem. Also, the Virgin router does not offer an L2TP option in the Firewall section of Advance Settings, only IPSec, PPTP, and Multi-cast.
