Configuring a PureVPN tunnel on your router is a great way to ensure the safety and security of all the devices in your home. This method is especially beneficial if you have devices that don’t have VPN compatibility or you want to protect all the Wi-Fi-connected devices in your home.

To be able to take advantage of PureVPN across any and all devices via your D-Link router, We used the D-Link DIR 842 (Firmware Version L 2.x) for this how-to. There are so many models of D-Link routers, and so not all of them can be entertained. However, this should give you a general idea of how the setup process will be, here is what you need to do:

Things to Consider:

  1. You have a working internet connection.
  2. VPN Supported Router.
  3. A Premium PureVPN account (If you haven’t bought yet click 👉here to buy)
Find your VPN credentials for manual configuration.

Yes and unfortunately it appears that you “do not share IP ranges of our servers with customers as per our policy”…meaning that I will be unable to configure the router.

    Hi Clay,

I am sorry for the inconvenience. It seems that this issue is related to your IS, so I suggest you should contact your ISP. Meanwhile you can try to connect your computer / laptop via same router and go to command prompt , run command ipconfig and press enter there you will find gateway, enter the same gateway in browser and then check.

Let me know if I can help you with anything else!

  13. Clay says:

I am trying to access my DLink router from a wireless connection via my macbook air (no ethernet port). When I try the three admin urls (http://192.168.1.1/, 0.1, and http://dlinkrouter/) the request times out and does not load the router. I had previously accessed the router via this route while configuring a different VPN service about 6 months ago. Any idea why I can’t connect? Alternate options?
