Moreover, kindly download app from this link https://s3.amazonaws.com/purevpn/androidapp/app-release.apk

In case, if this does not work then you may setup PureVPN manually on your phone by following this tutorial

Hope this would work, feel free to reach out if you still face any issue!

I am all good up to step 14, but it never connects, the power plug icon shows gray and the location/IP at the bottom showing my current country, seems the app freezes. Tried clean all data and uninstall, reinstall, still the same. But same android phone use other VPN app works fine.
    What’s wrong?
And where I can find the app installed on my android phone? I can not find any folder like PureVPN or GZ systems.

So I download PureVPN apps from Google store and install it. I was able to connect to server (USA for example).
All is ok, But now what?

If I use Google Chrome and ask “WhatIsMyIP” it show my local IP and not the USA IP.

    So what the problem?

I use PureVPN on PC / Windows and I have no problem.
I run PureVPN, I choose a server and when I use Chrome it show me this server and not my local IP.

it won’t connect to the nearest server (hk,sg,jp etc). It connects only when I set it to pakistan or other countries with slow conection speed. Please fix your android apps so that all asian servers are reachable.

I can’t connect using anddroid version of purevpn. It took too long and it tells me “Seems like your isp has blocked openvpn ports or this server is not responding this time. Please try another server.” I tried connecting to hongkong, japan, korea, taiwan (both tcp and upd). The problem only occurs in android version of it.

  17. PureVPN Team says:

    Hi,

I apologies for the inconvenience. This is the first time we have received such complain, I have reported it to concerned department for investigation, kindly confirm us which version of PureVPN app you are using right now? For now I can only suggest you to uninstall and reinstall from this link, this might work:
    https://s3.amazonaws.com/purevpn-dialer-assets/android/app/Purevpn_android_5.3.1.apk

Looking forward to hear from you!

    • Peter says:

When trying to find the version number in the app, I noticed a one pixel high dashed line on the bottom of the screen. The screen does not scroll at all, but I managed to click the line. I assume it is the top of the “Sign In”-button, because the “Sign In”-screen popped up when I clicked the line! So I managed to sign in.

The version I use 5.3.1 of 2 march 2016. And – at least on my phone – it only shows the top line of the “Sign In”-button, and the screen does not scroll. Quit hard to find the button 😉

  18. Peter says:

During an automatic upgrade of the app, it seems to have forgotten my account data. Opening the most recent version of the app, I get an opening screen with only a (large, green) “Sign Up”-button whereas I need the “Sign In”-button for entering my account data.
Uninstalling and re-installing the app unfortunately does not help: I still just get a “Sign Up”-button.
Any idea how I can enter my account data? Thanks!

  19. Chris says:

    Good day

  20. PureVPN says:

    Hi Diord,

Good Question. If you are using free PureVPN Account, you can connect to limited countries, which is why there is lock icon on several country names. If you want to unblock all countries, we would suggest you to use Premium PureVPN Account.

If you have any further question, feel free to ask.

    Have a Great Day!

  21. Diord says:

Why are some countries and cities have lock sign in front of them? How do I connect to these locations?
