P2P also known as peer to peer is a file sharing application model that allows users to carefully share and distribute files globally. Torrenting is an example of P2P. While the feature is loved by people around the world, unfortunately, due to the methodology used for the sharing of many copyrighted files, violations in copyright law have led P2P to become highly monitored in a few countries like United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, and Canada.

If you get caught while torrenting a file that is subject to these copyright laws, you are subject to receiving penalties from your internet service provider, fines or even jail time depending on the severity of the offence may get a serious penalty from your provider or you might even ended up being in jail depending on severity of the offense. In order to securely do torrenting and to avoid such offenses you need a VPN that allows P2P file sharing as it will never revealed where you live physically.
