The speed test tool helps VPN users decide on the fastest VPN servers as per their requirement. PureVPN has an in-house speed test tool to help PureVPN users get the best from PureVPN. Previously, the speed test tool was hosted on our website, but to innovate it further and enhance it with quality attributes, we moved the tool to our apps.

We have integrated it into PureVPN’s app, regardless of the platform. The purpose of doing so is to make it easier for users to connect to the fastest available server. In order to do so, all a user needs to do is to use the ‘Location & Purpose’ feature in app to connect to the fastest servers at any given time.

Manual Configuration

Even though the tool is available within PureVPN’s app, users do have the option to configure it manually for the fastest possible connection. In order to do so, the following DNS servers will prove to be of great use:

Thanks for reaching out. This is the best server.

If you are using our app, then we would suggest you to select ‘File Sharing’ mode and connect with nearest location, this should also give best speed.

Thanks for reaching out. You should first setup PureVPN on DD-WRT router by following this tutorial

You can use above given fastest server addresses in ‘Gateway’ field of your router’s wan settings as shown in DDWRT tutorial step 6

Hope this helps, feel free to write us if you still face any problem!

Thanks for your help, worked perfectly with the SSTP! Thanks a lot, thought it would automatically choose the fastest protocol with auto mode…

      Kind regards!

  11. debonas says:

my VPN speed is unfortunately very low on all servers. I get like 1,5mb/s, my internet is 120k.

Im using the VPN mainly for downloads and faster servers would be great.

Im using the automatic mode for filesharing and the auto protocol.

What can i do to speed up my connection.

I also tried OpenVPN and to use the VPN in Windows, but the speed did not increase.

    Kind regards!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Our app is very efficient in finding fastest server that’s why the speed test tool is no longer required.

Feel free to contact us if you still have any question/confusion!

  14. ms_snark says:

apparently the speed test tool is gone and somehow the app is supposed to find the fastest server which it doesn’t, it merely goes to the last server I used.
