How to manually setup SSTP protocol on Mac

Here’s how to configure PureVPN on your Mac device with the SSTP protocol.

Note: You would require Mac version El Capitan or above to proceed with this setup.

Things to Consider:

Before you begin, please make sure that:

  • You have a working internet connection.
  • A Mac Device
  • Own a premium PureVPN account (If you do not already own one, you can buy a subscription from here.
  • Download / install Easy SSTP from here

1 Run Easy SSTP from Applications.

2 Provide your Mac password and click “OK”

3 Click on Easy SSTP icon from Menu bar and select “Configure…”

4 Click on “New”

Once the new windows opens, please enter the information mentioned below for the following fields:

  • Connection Type: Password from drop-down menu
  • Insert Connection Name: PureVPN SSTP
  • Insert the desired server: Click here to get the server list
  • Insert your username & password as provided by PureVPN. (For further instructions on how to check your active PureVPN username and password click here.)
  • Click on “Save”.

6 Click on “Easy SSTP” icon from Menu bar and select newly created “PureVPN SSTP” connection.

Click on "Easy SSTP" icon from Menu bar and select newly created "PureVPN SSTP" connection.

7 You are connected now. Enjoy the FREEDOM!!!

SSTP Tunnel now connected

8 Click on “Easy SSTP” icon from Menu bar and select “Shows status…” to verify connection.

Click on show status to verify SSTP connection
