How to setup PureVPN PPTP on Linksys E-5350 AC1000 Wi-Fi Router

Configuring a PureVPN tunnel on your router is a great way to ensure the safety and security of all the devices in your home. This method is especially beneficial if you have devices that don’t have VPN compatibility or you want to protect all the Wi-Fi-connected devices in your home.

In this tutorial we will show you how to set up VPN on a Linksys E-5350 Wifi Router with Hardware version AC1000 and Software version 1.0.00 but first let’s see what are our requirements and recommendations.

Things to Consider:

  1. You have a working internet connection
  2. VPN Supported Router.
  3. A Premium PureVPN account (If you haven’t bought yet click 👉here to buy)
Find your VPN credentials for manual configuration.

To find your VPN credentials log into the PureVPN member area. Click 👉 here to visit member area.

  • Login to the Member area using your PureVPN registered email address and password.
  • On subscriptions tab scroll down to be able to view your VPN credentials.
  • You will be able to see and copy your VPN credentials.
  • Note down your PureVPN username and click on Eye icon to make your password visible and use it in the manual configuration.
How to connect PureVPN manually on Linksys E-5350 Wifi Router.
  • To start setting up a VPN on Linksys router you first need to connect to it. For that, paste this address into your browser search field: http://192.168.0.1 (If this doesn’t work, please consult your router’s manual to find what is the Default Gateway Address).
Enter your router’s password and click ‘Login’.
  • Once logged in, go to the Local Network option and select WAN Setup from the drop-down list.
Once logged in, go to the ‘Local Network’ option and select ‘WAN Setup’ from the drop-down list.
  • Under the WAN Setup set the Internet Connection to PPTP.
Under the ‘WAN Setup’ set the Internet Connection to “PPTP”.
  • Now enter the following information.
  • DNS 1: 8.8.8.8
  • DNS 2: 8.8.4.4
  • Server Address: (Please refer to the server addresses shared below. Please check 👉this link on how to convert PPTP server address into IP address.)
    1. Germany: de1.pointtoserver.com
    2. Netherlands: nl1.pointtoserver.com
    3. United Kingdom: ukl1.pointtoserver.com
    4. United States: usil1.pointtoserver.com
    5. United States: ustx1.pointtoserver.com
    6. United States: usca1.pointtoserver.com
    7. United States: usfl1.pointtoserver.com
    8. United States: usny1.pointtoserver.com
    9. United States: uswdc1.pointtoserver.com
    10. Australia: au-sd1.pointtoserver.com
  • Insert your PureVPN credentials. Here is how you can 👉find your VPN credentials.
  • Keep Alive: Always On
  • click the Save button to activate the VPN connection.
DNS 2: 8.8.4.4
Server Address: (Please refer to the server addresses shared in the note above. Please check this link on how to convert server address into IP address.)
Insert your username & password as provided by PureVPN. (For further instructions on how to check your active PureVPN username and password click here.)
Keep Alive: Always On
Click on the “Save” button to activate the VPN connection.

PureVPN is connected now on your Linksys E-5350 Router.
